Primed the Skybolt mounting strips. After they dried, riveted all the recepticles to the strips. Decided to rivet them to the firewall flange, but didn't want to rivet the top skin, so drilled a few intermediate holes in the firewall flange and Skybolt mounting strips. Cleaned them up, dimpled/countersunk and riveted them on. Also finish riveted the side and bottom strips to the fuselage skins. Put the cowl on and adjusted the recepticles to the proper depth. Will need a few shims, but not many. I'm a little surprised, since I read the that quite a few people using the Skybolt system have added glass all the way around the cowl to shim. It doesn't seem like I'll need to do this...
