I worked long and hard today trying to get the front weldment to fit properly...finally decided to finish drilling all the holes in the skin/weldment, and drilled the two hinges to the plastic blocks.
I drilled the hinge about 1/8 of an inch, then removed the weldment and used a drill jig to complete the 1/4" holes.
When I put it back on and installed the bolts, the fit between the front canopy frame skin and the front fuselage skin ended up being almost perfect on the left side, but the right side is uneven by 3/32". I'll have to do some more work to get it to fit better...
