I decided to make a fiberglass fairing for the bottom of the horizontal stabilizer/ fuselage juncture (instead of using the metal fairing provided in the kit) I used modeling clay to make a smooth transition, and laid up three layers of fiberglass. It was 100 degrees in the hangar, so the epoxy set up quickly. It was a challenge having to work so fast with the material. I used peel ply for the first time, and it looks like it will work well. Sure smoothed out the layup, and absorbed lots of the excess epoxy resin... I will still have a lot of sanding to do, especially around the leading edge...
