I've had a job change or two since I last reported work being done on the plane. I actually have done a little work in the last 10 months, but haven't documented it.
I basically have been working on the cowl installation, and am at the point of having the top cowl trimmed to the fuselage. I have the bottom and top cowl mating pretty well together at the spinner, but that has been a real pain in the rear. I had to take a lot of material off via dremel, file, sand paper, and dynamite. I had to remove so much material off a few areas that I will have to reinforce from the back siide because it is so thin.
Also, the previous owner of the kit just had to cut the cowl halves at the factory "scribed" line. Well, it now looks as though I'll have to add material back as the cut lines were incorrect. Oh well...
I will post pics in the next few days showing the cowl progress...
