Well, I'm finally back to working on the plane. Business changes, life changes, tornado's, instrument rating obtained, and just being plain ol' lazy kept me away from my project. But I'm ready to hit it again...
The weather is more than warm enough to get back on the canopy. I re-read the instructions to get my head back on track, and tackled the fitting problems that frustrated the hell out of me two (!) years ago. Low and behold things just seemed to come together like magic.
Got things fitting quite nicely. Tweaked, re tweaked, and re re tweaked until I'm actually satisfied with the basic fit. Now it's time to get to the nitty gritty of shimming, deburring, dimpling, countersinking, priming, and finally riveting the whole mess together...
