Drilled the rear attach brackets to the canopy side rails. Since the back side of the rail is difficult to reach (to install nuts on the attach screws), I used .063 aluminum backing plates, and attached nutplates. I will pop rivet the .063 to the side rail to help strengthen the attach point for the strut since it has a fair amount of stress...
