Brief Description:  First Cross Country

Did my first cross country for Phase one and circumnavigated around my 50 mile radius test area. I logged 1:41 minutes total Hobbs time and flew from Doylestown to the Pottstown area. I then headed north flying short of Wilkes-Barre. I decided to turn back because it was getting a bit bumpy and the ADSB weather was painting green and yellow coming in from the Northwest. Not sure what that was but because of what I could see as reduced visibility ahead and a thicker lower cloud deck I decided to turn southeast toward Easton and Sky Manor. Approaching Sky Manor I looked at my ADSB traffic and there were at least 5 airplanes either in the pattern, leaving the pattern or inbound to the airport. It looked like a beehive. My next door neighbor at the airport (Jim) was heading out before I left. Jim owns a C-150 and he told me he was going to Sky manor for a Cessna group fly in breakfast. You could see the traffic on the display and match the bogies below. After Sky manor, I turned west to Pottstown. Flying short of Limerick towers, I did a 180 turn and headed back to Doylestown airport.

When I landed Clark and Dean were chatting and Clark has his RV pulled out. We chatted a bit and they helped me push back the airplane into the hanger.

All in all a very nice flight and another chunk to my 40 hour count down.

Winds were largely calm 4-6 kts and variable according to ASOS but they were actually from the Southwest when I landed.
