Brief Description: Placed Turtledeck on Aft Fuselage Box
Drew blue line down the length of each side of the turtledeck skin one inch from the edge. This line will be used to help align turtledeck skin to aft fueslage box before pilot drilling. After a little thought I figured out how to place the turtledeck on the aft fuselage box without an extra set of hands. Flipped the turtledeck skin over and rested it on the work benches and carefully turned the aft fuselage box assembly on its side resting on the saw horses. Slid the right side turtledeck skin between the upper right longeron & aft fuselage box skin and used clamps to hold in place while I carefully rolled/maneuvered the left side turtledeck skin between the upper left longeron & aft fuselage box skin and used clamps to hold in place. I used a 12" ruler as a "shoehorn" to help feed the turtledeck skin between the longeron and side skin of the aft fuselage box assembly. Turned the aft fuselage box assembly back upright---all of this was done quite easily.
