Brief Description: Rivet Aft Bulkheads, Cleco Left Skin
Steps 1 thru 6: When riveting the Bottom and Side Skins, I started from a bottom-up approach. The plans called for a more top down along the Skins first then working your way down the sides to the curved area of the Side Skins. It seemed to me with back-riveting to start with the bottom skin first, then do the edges of the Side Skin, then the curved portion of the skin. Then, in progressive order, I riveted the lower Stiffeners and lower Bulkheads and Frames as I work my way up. It seemed to come together nice and straight. Everything matched up (with the exception of the screw-up yesterday with the wrong stiffener) and I finished up the riveting of the Right Skin and the F-1011 and F1012 Bulkheads and the aft bottom skin piece F-1079. The aft bottom skin piece proved to be the most challenging to get fitted, tight, and rivet pulled down properly, all with a nice finished shop head (conventional riveting with titanium bucking bar). I drilled out a few of these until I got the hang of getting it all tight and aligned while riveting (I could have used a second set of hands but I made due).
Clecoed the Left Skin in place. Again, it fit nicely and I don't anticipate alignment problems while riveting.
