Brief Description: Nut plate work on the backing rings.
Today I began working on getting the backing rings ready for the nut plates. First, I drilled the holes for the rivets that hold the nut plates in place. I used a handy drilling guide that I purchased from Aircraft Tool Supply. Next I deburred all the holes on the backing ring. Finally, I dimpled the 3/32" holes then the #6 screw holes. I got about a third of the way through the stack today.
