Brief Description: Fit left root skin onto skeleton.
Today I began by cleaning off the skeleton of the drilling debris. I then applied red locktite to the flap torque tube support bolts and installed them one last time.
Next, I had 3 holes on the back ribs that needed to be dimpled because it was too tight for the squeezer. I figured I'd make my own die to work with the rivet gun and it worked well. I drilled a hole in a piece of 1/8" steel bar stock. Then I countersunk it to a depth to accept a -3 rivet. Then I polished all of the edges off of it.
Finally, I installed grommets into the fuel line holes and installed the skin onto the skeleton. Looks pretty nice without the PVC coating...getting excited to get to riveting!
