Today I made the fuel filler hole doublers. I did this by taking a piece of 0.040" aluminum and cut a 4.125" diameter circle using a fly cutter. I then took the disc and used the 2" hole cutter and cut out the center of the disc. I then marked off 8 evenly spaced hole locations and predrilled them on the drill press. I then deburred the entire ring and drilled it to the wing skin.
I then placed the new top straps into place and secured them. I then placed the tank in place and noticed that my bottom straps are going to be too long. I'm going to have to trim the bolt end...but that's for another day.
