Today I spent some time leveling the main spars. I went to the aviation department of Home Depot and purchased a self-leveling laser level that mounts onto a tripod. I leveled the outboard end of the spar from the top of the spar to the bottom first. I then clamped it to the square steel mounting jig to hold it in place.
I then set up the laser level and marked a point on the spar flange and measured the inboard end to check for level lengthwise. I then shimmed with washers and rechecked for level. Then repeated the process on the right spar.
