Brief Description: Worked on pitot mounting bracket.
Today I began forming the pitot mounting bracket. I began by cutting out a blank from 0.040" aluminum. I then bent the edges to form mounting brackets and stiffeners.
(I got the idea from Wayne Massey who got the idea from Mark Goldberg of mounting the pitot under the wing between nose ribs #8 and 9 in front of the main spar.)
I match drilled the bracket to the nose ribs.
I purchased the pitot mounting tube from www.safeair1.com. It came with a cut out template. So I mounted it to the bracket and cut out the hole. Now to go and remove the aluminum dust from my upper torso.
