Brief Description:  Aligned and attached rear spars; drilled right ail

The spars need to be offset by 0.300" with the rear spar closer to the bottom of the wing. so today I began by measuring over 0.300" from the rear spar attach hole and marking the location. I then dropped a plumb bob from the main spar attach bolt and lined it up with the mark and drilled the attach hole through the angle iron. I then measured 32" from the main spar web and shimmed the rear spar to get up to 32".

The next step was to attach the rear tip to another angle iron piece. This was done by attaching a block of wood to a stiffener angle on the tip rib and then clamping it to a piece of angle iron.

Finally, after tripple checking that all spar locations were straight and level, I drilled the right aileron drive linkage to the spars.

In the picture of the right aileron linkage, the spars look bowed...it's just a fun little camera trick (not on purpose). I can assure you, they are straight as an arrow.
