I wired the rheostat into the panel lighting. I chose this method as I do not have a mix of lighting to balance. All the modern tech items have their own lighting controls. The old tech stuff all works great on the rheostat. I also added connectors to the 4 nulites in the back up instruments. These are the airspeed indicator, electric turn coordinator, altimeter and vertical speed indicator. I will be using a glass panel from Dynon Avionics for primary information. I also rerouted some of the wiring behind the panel for a cleaner installation.
