I removed the main lower fuselage acess door. The original builder had used brass wood screws to attach this door. The propblem with this idea is that you quickly wear out the wood taking the screws in and out. I installed brass furniture inserts screwed and glued into the wood with T-88 epoxy. I chose 6-32 units for this installation. If you use these do NOT try to screw them in with the slot cut in them. The slot will break. Install them using a pan head phillips screw with a washer between it and the insert. When you screw the assembly in the insert will end up perfectly flush with the wood and the screw and washer will be easy to take out and use to install the next insert right away.
