The left tank was largely finished on its upper surface. I skim coat all the tank surface with body filler and sand most of it off. This is necessary if you make a male mold version of the tanks like I did. Female would make the surface better, but I would bet that it will take alot longer in the end to do it that way. The end result is fantastic using a 14" board sander and 80 grit paper. This will yeild a perfect base for priming. I use 3M products for sanding and usually Evercoat body filler. I also skim coated the bottom of the tank. The bottom will need to be sanded yet. The top only needs minor work to complete it.
