The landing gear is retracted on the right seat side of the aircraft. I generally finished the main door, the part you can not see through, previously, The secondary door to enclose the wheel and tire has been added as a 1/16" plwood near half ring. Next I inserted urethane foam stringers to hold its shape. When the gear is let down I will add additional layers of plywood around the initial form using T-88 Epoxy. The result is a very strong outer edge for the door that can be conformed to the wing opening. The top and bottom of the form will be thin plywood with the middle being vertical grain balsa when finished.This work session also involed correcting the manual gear release system on this side of the aircraft.The Barracuda, as built per plans, does not include the door covering the wheel and tire.
