Brief Description: Rivetted lower right elevator skin to spar
On the right elevator, rivetted lower skin to spar (including counterbalance skin). Had to use a MK-319-BS pop rivet where the tip rib, counterbalance skin, elevator skin and main spar meet. Couldn't get a bucking bar to drive a normal AN rivet. One the same note, misjudged a week earlier where I could get to with a squeezer/bucking bar on the elevator tip: The counterbalance spar closed the access to the main spar from the tip. On the last 3 rivets I planned tu use AN426AD3 rivets, not the CS4-4 pop rivets. Drilled , deburred and dimpled the corrospending holes only to #40. Used MK-319-BS pop rivet instead. Less invasive than to try and enlargen the holes, dimpling and rivetting without a chance to deburr the parts etc. Need more MK-319-BS rivets ;-)
Next: Rivet the ribs to the skin.
