Brief Description: Damaged Horiz. Stab. I'll use the old elevators.
Moving on to the empennage. Here is the original horizontal stab. It got bent quite bad when it crashed. Nothing from this will be reused. But, the elevators are totally un damaged and I’ll try to reuse them. First thing is to get them off. The original builder installed the elevators very close to the horizontal stab spar. Very little room and I couldn’t get the elevator attach bolts out. So, I’ll drill out the horizontal stab top skin to gain better access to the elevator attach bolts. Gosh, I hope the old elevatores fit my new horizontal stab.
