I finished prepping the spar caps and started drilling them using the main spar web as a guide. To make sure my drilled holes were straight, I used a drill bushing to help align the drill bit. It takes longer to get the holes drilled using this and the bits occaisionally jam up, causing the bit to break. However, I think this will be better in the long run and is worth the extra bits and time.
