Whoo boy! I can't believe it's been more than 3 years since I've done any work on the plane. This is not exactly how I had envisioned the build project going. I should have been done by now. Life seemed to keep getting in the way. House projects kept coming up that were a major time suck. I also allowed myself to get side-tracked with other interests. This is an on-going issue that I need to address.
Fortunately, the projects are done and I have re-committed to getting this plane built in the next 3-4 years. It breaks my heart everytime I see a plane overhead and wish I was up there flying. I'm also not getting any younger and after a scary medical episode earlier this year, in combination with the COVID pandemic, I'm chomping at the bit to get going again on the build.
It's amazing how lost you can get after a 3 year hiatus. I feel like I have to re-learn everything all over again regarding building techniques and trying to figure out where I left off 3 years ago. I took this week off from work to help get re-oriented with the plans and the process. I think I'm in good shape now and will pick up where I left off and finish building the wing spars.
