Brief Description: Shock strut piston rod gouge and fitting part 1
I e-mailed Mark. He said I would need to sand out the gouge and scratch and sand down the top few inches of the piston rod so it would fit the hole in the brass cap. He checked a couple of caps he had and the hole was 0.752". That matches what I measured. The problem is the shaft should be 0.750" and I was measuring 0.753 to 0.754".
