Befor I head off to work this afternoot I figured I would get all the Main spars for the Left wing fluted.
The first one was taking forever, so off to the vansairforce to research. I found some great post and one sent me to the EAA website with a video on the best way. Ill try to expain it the best I can:
-Lay the rib flt on a table and press down in the middle of the highest bowed part.
-Now starting from one end of the rib start fluting. When the tip of the rib just starts to rise stop squeezing. Do this same technique inboart to the middle and then do the same for the other end.
-Spin the rib around and do the same thing.
-This worked out GREAT. just a little fine tunning here and there and the rib was flat as can be....I set a timer and it only took just over 2 minuted per rib.
Got my vans order in...so tomorrow I should be able to get the tie down bracket that I messed up fixed and on getting the rear spars primmed.
