Brief Description:  Cut counter weight, scotchweld and cleco on skin

After I finished prepping all of the understructure I measured and marked my cut on the counter weight........I cut the wrong side off!!!!!!! son of a B%$# I grabbed the counter weight from the left elevator and remade the cut. Now I am left with a totally screwed up weight and one from earlier that I miss drilled. I had a lead melting pot in the attic that I used to make fising lures. I got it down and melted the led from the screwed up cut and poured it into the holes on the misdrilled counter weight. After it colled I filed it smooth and Bam!!!! new counter weight.

I mixed up a batch of scotchweld and got my blue Sensor safe RTV ready.. I squirted a big glob of RTV in between each stiffener ( my instructions didnt say anything about that but it seems everyone is doing it, cant hurt) then in inserted the understructure and applied a this layer of scotchweld all over the understructure and clecoed everything up. Dont forget to dip each cleco into some carnuba wax to prevent the cleco from getting stuck in the hole.

Everything seems pretty good so far...Im not 100% sure about my trailing edge still...it seem like if I sight down, it has a very very slight bend to it......maybe that will come out once I start tweaking it.

The instructions say you can put these two rivets in now (top and bottom) to avoid using pop rivets
