Brief Description: Match Drilled and some dimpling and counter sinkin
Has a great day in the shop. Im still not satisfied with the trailing edge of the right elevator, but for now I think I will leave it alone.
I match drilled the skin onto the under structure....pretty straight forward. I unclecoed all of the skings and dimpled the 713 skin to a #10 dimple for the screws that hold the counter weight on. I then installed my #10 counter sink bit into the drill press and counter sunk the counter weight.
I tried to use my counter sink cage on the 4 holes on 702 spar, but the flanges were in the way. I ended up taking the #40 counter sink bit out and installing it in the deburing handle and gave it about 3 -5 turnd and use a -3 rivet to check the counter sink.....once I got close i only used about 1-2 turns at a time.
I finished off the day by deburing and dimpling the 713 counter weight skin.
All in all it was a much more relaxing day that yesterday with the trailing edge bend.....still trying to figure out how I want to tweak my bend.
