Brief Description: Bent Trailing edge and started clecoing under stru
What a stressfull day!!!! I thought bending the trailing edge was going to be easy....NOPE!!
One trick a builder friend told me was to draw a line the length of the bending break so you could make sure that the elevator was even all the way across to prevent an uneven bend. I did this and bent away!!!! I bent till the trailing edge stiffeners were touching.....Im still not totally happy but I was told you could use a pair of vice grip seamers with paint stick tapes to them to fine tune the trailing edge after everything is riveted up.
I was able to get the understructure clecoed up an matchdrilled. Pretty straight forward except I drilled the counter weight on backwards......another order from vans...... aver that mess up (I used the parts from the left) I clecoed on the skin and stopped for the night.
using the bending break
drilling out the counter weight. For the second time
Everything clecoed up and ready to match drill skin
