Fred Weaver, a very experienced S7 pilot, agreed to do the first flight of my plane. Once everything was tweaked, adjusted, checked and rechecked, the preflighted and rechecked again, Fred climbed in and taxied out for the first go.
With a couple of the airport locals standing by, we watched as Fred lined up and started the first take-off run. The plane tracked straight down the center line, then rotated off in very short order. Fred flew around the airport area for a while, radioing back that all the engine readings were right where they belonged.
The first landing was a non-event.
More test flights followed throughout the afternoon.
