Brief Description: Instrument panel fitting and layout
I finished fitting the stock instrument panel, which I will use as a template to cut a replacement panel to fit with the Milloway glare shield. I also started laying out the gauges and instruments in the panel. I have gathered photos of dozens of S-7 panels, and found several that I liked, but that do not match the things I will have in my panel. After numerous layouts, I came up with one that places the three 3"+ gauges in the center of the panel, with a place for a Garmin 396 or 495 just below the glare shield in the center of the panel. I have not made up my mind about using a dock or a surface mount for the GPS.
I also fitted the floor boards, and riveted in the nut-plates used to attach the floor boards. After the fitting, I applied the first coat of Polyurethane to the floorboards.
