Brief Description: fit and install the rudder cable guard in the cabi
The rudder cables in the area of the rear seat have a protective aluminum cover that attaches to the floorboards on either side. This protective aluminum gets covered with fabric material matching the seat covers.
I fitted the aluminum panel and determined that I needed to adjust the position of the flap teleflex cables to allow proper fit of the rudder cable guard. After adjusting the teleflex cables the cable guard fit nicely. I predrilled mounting holes, then removed the guard to install the fabric cover.
After adhering the fabric cover to the aluminum guard I used screws to mount the guard in position. I checked the routing of the teleflex cables, and installed several wire tie wraps to secure the cables and to ensure clearance from the aileron control cables in the area of the aft wing root.
