Brief Description: Install cowling 1/4-turn fasteners, trial fit
The cowling is held in place with 1/4-turn fasteners. The fasteners are held in place during cowling removal by little retainer clips that snap onto the shank of the fastener. I first had to pre-fit the cowl to determine what length fastener to use for each point, then remove the cowling and install the clips to retain the fasteners in place.
I have two fastener locations that will not work. A fuselage frame tube interfers with the rotation of the fastener. More on this later when I have a work-around solution.
