The upper cowl is fastened to the lower cowl with 1-4 turn screws. The screws attach to receptacles that are riveted to the lower cowl. The manual calls for the use of pulled rivets for this process. I have been advised to use traditional solid rivets for this step as these fasteners see a lot of use, and the pulled rivets do not hold up as well as solid rivets.
I borrowed a rivet squeezer and rivet cutter from Tom Aberle. My son Mike and worked together to install the receptacles as this is definitely a 4-handed task.
