Brief Description: finish cutting holes and pre-fit the panel
I cut the hole for the GPS dock last. I deburred all the holes, filed them smooth and used fine emory cloth to create finished edges.
The panel on my S7 will be fastened to a Joel Milloway glare shield modification. I temporarily installed the boot cowl, then cleco'd the glare shield into position. Next, I fit the panel into place which required grinding out relief cutouts for the two fuselage tubes that penetrate the glare shield. Again, this was a trial and fit operation. I will use round rubber grommets cut to fit the half-circle relief spaces on the final installation. The underside of the lip of the glare shield will have an LED light strip to provide instrument lighting for the panel.
