Brief Description: cut instrument, gauge and switch holes in panel
To day I started cutting the holes in the instrument panel. I had to use a 2" hole saw for the engine instrument gauges as I could not locate either a punch-die set, or a stepped bit 2" in diameter.
I used a purpose specific die-punch set to cut the 2.25" and 3.125" holes for the standard sized gauge holes. I used a step bit to cut the holes for the control cables, the breaker-switches, the ignition switches and the dimmer control unit.
Tomorrw I will work on cutting the rectangular holes for the GPS dock, the trim indicator and the slip indicator.
