Shortly I will need to install the instrument panel. I have settled on my instrumentation and basic electrical system components, and now need to lay out the final panel configuration. I have probably spent 20+ hours on this over the last few months. I want the panel to be functional as well as asthetically pleasing.
I am keeping the insturmentation simple. I will use a docked Garmin 396 or 496 GPS and basic VFR instruments. On the advice of my A&P/IA/PMA/ restoration expert buddy I am going to use combination breaker/switches instead of independant switches and breakers. The individual breaker/switches seem a little pricey at first, but when compared to the combo price of a good quality switch and a breaker they really are not.
I am also using an LED panel lighting system in conjunction with the Joel Milloway glare-shield.
