Brief Description:  Fuel Line Plumbinh

Now the headliner is fitted, I can commence on routing the fuel line plumbing as it will traverse closely to the rear headliner. Versa tube 3.8" line is used throughout, and held in place via adel clamps and tabs welded to the structure. The PA18 fuel system is a newer headerless design, with L & R tanks, each with FWD and AFT fuel pickups. The rear right line traverses around the headliner and the rear left line, down the left rear A piller. The Front right line travells down the front right A pillar and to the rear of the firewall, and the front left, dowwards and direclty to the fuel valve. A sinlge line is then plumbed from the Dakota Cubs fuel selector valve ASSY, to the steves aircraft gascolator on the firewall.

This is a gravit fed fuel system, and attention needs to be paid to ensure fuel lines travel in a downhill path, with no areas where moisture can pool.

I will add connections in the front and rear lines to make replacements and servicing for the future easier - keeping in mind the rear line can be acessess by removing the headliner, and the fwd line accessed under the firewall.
