I decided to use plate nuts and screws to fasten the back plate to the map box. This way if I decide to use this panel space for avionics it would be easy to remove the back plate for wiring access. Today I fitted the plate nuts, drilled the plate nut holes, and counter sunk on the top angle the rivet holes. Also re-drilled he screw holes using a #21 drill. Also I re-drilled the screw holes on the plate to #21. Tomorrow I will have to finish the bottom angle.
