I talked to VANS about the difficulty riveting the gap filler plate as per yesterdays note. They have had no record of using blind rivets at this location and could not give any suggestion to solve the problem. I will try the riveting route. Adjusting the gap filler on the left side to get a better fit. Drill the four plate nuts next to the gap filler. I had to use K2000-08 plate nuts because of the tight space. Start deburring and countersink the rivet holes for the plate nuts on the rear spinner mount plate. Bob Eggelston came by to talk about engine start procedures.
