Brief Description:  Touch-up on lower cowling, work on spinner

There are a number of small holes (not pin holes) that I filled with Super Fill. I am using the Sensenich 70CM fixed pitch prop and have a 14" diameter spinner. To fit the spinner, the prop was mounted with the 2 1/4" spacer and bulkheads. The spinner has to be cut to fit around the prop blades. To do this I used drafting paper and traced around the spinner dome. The circle was then folded exactly in half. A mark was made on each end of the fold line. Next, the spinner was placed back on top of the circle and the marks were transferred to the spinner where it touched the circle. I rechecked this mark with a flexible tape I borrowed from my wife by checking the half circle along the lower circumference of the dome (full circle 41”, half circle 20 ½”).
I have downloaded a full sized cross-section drawing of the prop from the Sensenich web site. The drawing has a center line marked on it. The center line was aligned with the mark on the spinner and the pattern was copied onto the dome. I also marked a line ¼” inside this line for the cut. Using a small saw I cut along this line on one side of the dome. Tomorrow I will cut the other hole. Next step will be the filling and fitting the hole to the prop.
