This job on the empennage fairing will last forever. I decided to reshape the forward part of the fairing since it was cut uneven and very poorly by VANS. I fit the fairing on the fuselage, strapped it down and drilled five screw holes. I used clecos to hold the fairing down in addition to the strap. After I was satisfied that the fairing fit good on the empennage/fuselage I removed the fairing and used packing tape and mold release under the forward part of the fairing and reinstalled it on the empennage. Mixed the two part slow epoxy and laid down two layers of fiberglass around the entire frontal area of the fairing (see the two pictures below). After this sets up I will have to shape the fairing.
