I got the autopilot harness from TruTrak and it appears the wire bundle for the pitch servo is way too short. First I thought I will just take apart the SubD connector at the pitch servo end, extend the wires and reassembe the connector. To work at this location is impossible so I cut the wires about a foot and a half behind the controller end and added the extension here. I used the sub-D crimp pins to connect the wires. In addition to crimping the male and female pins on I soldered the pins together after inserting the two ends, put shrink tubing on each wire connection and encased the whole assembly in shrink tubing. The second picture shows the termination of both the EFIS and the Autopilot cables behind the panel. I looped these cables so it will be relativalely easy to remove the left instrument panel.
