Brief Description:  Upper cowl curvature

Project the upper cowl curvature to the rear baffles. Made a paper templet for the left and right rear baffles by placing an aluminum right angle accross the upper cowl at the location where the baffles touch the cowl. Measured the distance between the aluminum angle and the cureved surface of the cowl at one inch intervals accross the cross section of the cowl. First I marked the location on the cowl where the baffle would touch the cowl. Then placed the cowl upside down on the work table, placed the right angle accross this line resting on the edge of the cowl and measured the distances between the right angle and the cowl at each 1" interval. Once the measurements where made they were transferred to a piece of cross section paper and the shape of the cowl surface was drawn on the paper. I trimmed the coress section along this line. Now I had the shape of the cowl on this paper. MArking the points where the baffle and the cowl actually touched I was able to tape this cross cetion on the baffle and transfer the shape of the cowl to the rear baffle.
