I am fitting the wingtips to the wings with the wings positioned in the cradle style storage. Sanded and filed the flange on the W-915 Tips for an even depth and width all around. I used the 1/2" steel scale to set the required depth for the flange using the inside edge of the flangeas a guide. The outside edge is quite uneven. The width of the steel scale is exactly 1/2". Next I trimmed away the aft end of the W-915 Tip to provide clearance for the aileron, the W-914 aileron hinge barckets and a number of small protrusions along the outside wing ribs. This has been a measure and trim process repeated a lot of times. The result is quite good. Tomorrow do the right tip. Will be a lot faster.
