Brief Description: Fitting the Elevator to the Stabilizer
Make bushing from steel tube with 1/4" outside diameter and about 1/4" inside diameter. Make sure that it fits snugly into VA-146. Install both elevators on horizontal stabilizer and check for fit and alignment as per manual. Insert the drill bushing into the center bearing (VA-146). Using the bushing to guide the drill bit, drill the holes in the WD 605 elevator horn for the bolt that attaches the horn to the center bracket. This had to be done one elevator at a time. Thake the elevators off the stabilizer and drill the holes to final size for AN3-7A bolt. Reinstall elevators and check for fit and alignment. Looks excellent.
