Run self test on the ELT. The aircraft master switch was off and there was no power applied to the ELT. My portable aircraft radio was set to 121.5 MHz and the squelch was turned down to listen to the modulated carrier. The ELT's main switch was set to "Armed" position (down). I pressed the Reset/Test button on the cockpit remote control once. I heard one second of audio on the portable radio, followed by one beep from the audio alert indicator. The test passed according to the manual.
I enlarged the access hole for the manual aileron control arm to have a better fit. Will have to do some more adjustment.
