Started what looks like a long job installing the Ray Allen position sensor which eventually will be wired to the Grand Rapids EIS and programed on the Grand Rapids Sport EFIS to display the position of the flap. The two units communicate with each other. The position sensor is installed between the F-785A Backrest Brace and the flap actuator weldment. The fixed side of the position sensor is attached by a hinge to the backrest brace using screws and nuts and free to move in a vertical direction. The movable arm is attached to an aluminum angle which in turn is clamped on the flap actuator transferring the roration of the actuator to the position sensor (see pictures).
