Brief Description: Rivet F-704K Upright Cap Strips
Since I don't have a working blind rivet gun, Bob Eggleston offered to help with his gun to rivet on the Upright Cap Strips. I started by clecoing the two cap strips on and checking for the proper alignment of the holes and to make sure the rivets will slide in without interference. The access is very limited so I decided to remove the cabin heat and speaker support brackets to gain some room on the forward side of the right cap strip. The rest of the work was a back breaking slow riveting job using LP4-3 rivets. The temperatures didn't help, reaching about 85 degrees. Got it all done. The cabin heat and speaker bracket will have to be re-installed.
