Removed the ELT and ELT mount and added two platenuts to the mount. These locations were already pre-drilled on the VANS mount. I plan to use these platenuts to install clamps for the cables. I made 2" washer for the antenna from 0.040 thickness aluminum sheet. Clamped the aluminum sheet on the bench using a 2X4 piece of wood as a backing and used a 2" carbide hole cuter to make the 2" washer. Enlarged the center hole to 1" size to fit the antenna. This will give mote stability and backing for the antenna. The antenna location will be about 1 foot forward of the vertical stabilizer, forward of one of the bulkheads. This will give it extra stability. I also tried if I can crawl in this space with some success.
