On May 3-7 I made a trip to Belgium and France. I start with visit Alain Dejager at D-motor in Deerlijk. He showed me how engine parts was fabricated, the assembly and dyno room, later we visit a local airfield and the BOT aircraft used for testing the D-motor. My engine was ready for delivery and we strap it down in rear of my Volvo. Next stop was UML-technologies in Valencienne, France. I met Pierangelo and he showed me their facilities. I bought a cowling made for Rotax engine, it will fit also the D-motor. I was looking at the motor mount designed for UL-power, but it was in my opinion too short for the much lighter D-motor.
